POW City Kinsmen

OBJECT AND AIMS

The object of the Kinsmen Association shall be to promote and direct fellowship among young men in Kinsmen clubs and young women in Kinette clubs of good character within Canada, to the end that:

  1. They may enjoy personal development through Kin:
  2. They may be improved and educated in modern business and professional methods and ethics;
  3. The interest of each in the welfare of their community may be stimulated;
  4. Constitutional authority may be upheld;
  5. A spirit of co-operation, tolerance, understanding and equality among all nations and peoples be fostered and stimulated and that unity of thought and purpose throughout Canada be established toward this goal; and,
  6. They shall carry on service work within their community.

KIN MOTTO - "Serving the Community's Greatest Needs"

Kin has no super-imposed programme. Each club bases its activities on the needs of its own community. Several zones and Districts have area-wide service projects and the National Association does, on occasion, sponsor a nation-wide project. Currently, our national service project is donating to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in the hopes of helping to find a cure or control for C.F. All of these larger area projects are voluntary and the individual club sets its own priorities.
